Ferry Schedule:
There are two types of ferries leave to Sabang, Pulau Weh. The two types of ferries namely Fast Ferry and Regular Ferry. Fast Ferry transfer from Ulee Lheue to Balohan port, Weh Island, is about 45 minutes and the regular ferry is about 1 hour 45 minutes transfer.

Banda Aceh to Weh Island leaves at 10.00 and 16.00 pm.
Weh Island to Banda Aceh depart at 08.00 and 14.30 pm.

Banda Aceh to Weh Island leave at 08.00 am.

History of Ulee Lheue Ferry Port
In early 1900’s, Ulee Lheue Harbor became a strategic area and made as landing location of the Dutch troops during colonial era. Besides, the port also one of become one of quite busy port as export and import to neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Europe and China at that time beside of became Dutch military camp.
Banda Aceh Ferry Port Ulee Lheue After Tsunami 2004
Ulee Lheue port with an area of about 8 hectares divided into passenger terminal, parking lot, fast boat dock, slow ferry dock and others. After the tsunami disaster in 2004 was seriously damaged where no facilities left. The port was rebuilt after the tsunami and at this time serve the ferry route only to Sabang Weh Island and Pulo Aceh.
