- Visit Teuku Umar Monument
Teuku Umar Monument is a landmark of Meulaboh town & West Aceh. The monument was built to remembering the Indonesian Independence Hero from Aceh against Dutch Colonial, Teuku Umar. He died in this plas when he fought against the Dutch. This monument rebuilt after it swiped by the Tsunami wave on 26th December 2004. It built with the characteristic of Acehnese traditional hat namely Kupiah Meuketop. The monument is located in Ujong Kalak, Meulaboh, precisely near the sea.
